The dominant trends this year, according to observers, stylists, and a post from a woman with 2.4 million followers who was paid to attend, include micro shorts in stretch fabric and denim, sheer everything, crocheted tops that took between twelve and ninety hours to make, and a western influence that suggests the frontier spirit is alive and well and has discovered fringe.
“What we’re seeing is a festival fashion ecosystem that is becoming more curated, more intentional, and significantly less fabric,” said one style analyst who wrote a piece about it before she even left the parking lot. “The trend is toward looking effortless, which requires enormous effort. That’s the message.”
